Jehovah Witnesses Unaware They Are Fulfilling Bible Prophecies
by Wakeupcall2u injehovah witnesses unaware they are fulling bible prophecies.
for many of us witnesses that have left either as stricken lost sheep or unlawfully disfellowshiped please consider that our brothers & sisters in the synagogues of kingdom halls are misled & need our help in trying to pull them out of the fire.
the test now on them is about just how they are treating their unlawfully excluded (disfellowshiped) brothers & sisters, as foretold at isaiah 66. at present they sit in judgement on us the growing great crowd who have come out & they are prepared with hard- heartedness to condemn their brothers & sisters to a final everlasting death, by running away as spiritual cowards refusing us a cup of life giving water (truth) matt 10: to explain the apostasy in their temple the disgusting thing in the holy place.

I hate the Watchtower but I really still hate the Trinity Jesus is NOT God!
by Witness 007 insome bibles use the term "worship" when refering to jesus...at times people did fall down and bow to him........this doesn't show he was god!
the greek term; proskeyneo, means to prostrate oneself, to bow down and show honour.
now, this was done for jehovah.....and his representatives....jesus israelite kings and priests....but for the honour of jehovah not as creature worship which even angels would refuse.. also i studied the non-biblical early church gospels which really does show a slow decline over 150 years, into the trinity as the watchtower claims...........although i still hate the watchtower society at least i learnt something that wasn't a lie..

When I think of the Trinity I'm amused by the fact that the "Holy Spirit" has no personality whatsoever. God the Father plays his role as father and God the Son plays his role as, ahhh, son. But the Holy Spirit is as bland as an impersonal wind.

For every finger the Watchtower points at the sky there are three pointing back at them. It's all about themselves.

If you had to choose
by dothemath inif you had to choose to belong to 1 religion, i was curious as to what any on the forum would pick.. i realize most here are likely atheist (i would have to say i'm agnostic), but if any would like to share their opinion, and maybe why?.

Pure Buddhism does not believe in any god but it still might be have mystical teachings that I do not ascribe to.
I would probably consider myself a worshipper of Gaia and the Cosmos in the same way that Carl Sagan believed. It would be a religion that sees evolution as a way for humanity to become a race of godless angels.
In other words, I would invent my own religion.

Why Were the Anabaptists Not Chosen by Jesus in 1919?
by berrygerry inwt acknowledges their lack of neutrality during ww1, and previously stated that this was followed by a period of refining.
however, they were still the one group that far-and-away were the only ones that were practicing first-century christianity the most closely, as well as being the only group trying to do so.. interesting read about the hutterites ( http://www.ubcpress.ca/books/pdf/chapters/courtsandcolonies/chapterone.pdf ).
, especially this quote about ww1:.

Nathan Natas,
...you can UNDO the "dislike" by simply clicking "dislike" again.
Nope, it didn't work for me. I gave you a dislike and I can't undo it.

Theonomists, also known as Reconstructionists, are far more extreme than others. They believe in the establishment of all Old Testament civil laws. Jehovah's Witnesses might be in the habit of saying "If you were in Israel you would be stoned" but Theonomists would actually do it if they had control of an entire nation.

Are JW's non- violent
by notalone inokay, i keep reading something and though jw's do not get involved in national wars, my experience has always been they are very violent people.
every convention i have ever been to was filled with children being beat within an inch of their lives for just not being able to take a third day of mind-droning silence without being able to move or now even sleep.
i have seen whole congregations laugh at stories of children being beaten and calling out to "jehovah".

It's a matter of semantics. Violence applies only to physical abuse whereas inflicting verbal hurt is known as verbal abuse.

Finkelstein,
In the last couple of years the WTS has made more than billion dollars in selling many of its real estate holdings. $$$
They have also dramatically escalated their demand for congregation member's money. They have done this even to the pathetic extent of making video cartoons directed at children encouraging them to use their ice cream money to the WT. Literally.
It shows a JW girl, about ten, who's daydreaming of buying ice cream. She has the coin in her hand but before she does that she watches her mother drop in a contribution. She then daydreams about all the things the Watchtower does and after her daydream she decides to drop her coin into the contribution box.
